Excitement, anticipation, eagerness to open and play with it... I experienced all of these with the black-blade AFO, followed by a little disappointment and even mild panic. The first thing I noticed was that the spring was extremely weak. I own several other auto Benchmades, Protechs, and Microtechs, and this was the weakest auto action I have ever experienced from a reliable manufacturer. Protechs and Microtechs have such strong springs that some of them feel like they're going to jump out of your hand when the blade deploys. All Benchmades are a little more subtle, but still usually deploy quicker and stronger than this AFO. When I noticed the weakness, I started testing the degrees at which the blade would deploy when released from the handle and stopped with my hand, then released.
