To a guy like me heavy means well built, and this thing is one heavy mother. It's great because it has enough power to jack hammer the hell out of anything, and with the turn of a knob, you can drill a 6" hole through 3 feet of granite. This is the greatest most magnificent power tool i have ever owned, and i own many. I've been a plumber for many years and I swear by Milwaukee tools. The batteries are great, the tools are always well built, and their selfeed wood bits are the absolute best in the industry.
